Do Yourself a Favor

As we hold on to grudges
and resentment,
they have a way of gaining control over our lives.
They also grow out of proportion.
Resentment can materialize in many ways;
physically and emotionally making us sick.
It can cut off communication and isolate us
from family and friends.
The Message
Don’t be quick to fly off the handle.
Anger boomerangs.
Stop being angry.
Turn from your rage.
Do not lose your temper-
it only leads to harm.
Do yourself a favor!
Let go of anger, bitterness and unforgiveness.
Do this for yourself.
It may seem impossible, but nothing is impossible for God.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander,
as well as all types of evil behavior.
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
God demonstrated His great love for toward us by sending Christ
to die for us even while we were still sinners.
Put away all your anger, resentment and bitterness
and love one another just as God did for us.

Seek Ye First His Kingdom!

What does your calendar look like?
Do you have sticky notes all over to remind you of things?
Do you have a sticky note to remind you to write a sticky note?
How many times do you hit the snooze bar?
And then jump out of bed, forget to feed the cat, brush your teeth, or ……..
All because your late!
Now, everything on your sticky notes is not getting done.
Are you so overwhelmed that you pushed God out of your day?
Put God back into your life.
Spend time with Him first thing in the morning
He will order your steps.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
and all these things shall be added to you.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and
He delights in his way.
The more you put God first,
the more all things will fall into place
you will find more time than you thought you had.

What is grace?
It is God’s unmerited favor.
We didn’t earn it!
We didn’t deserve it!
God gives us grace simply because He loves us.
In the Bible, the word grace and favor are used interchangeably.
They occur 156 times in 147 verses.
It is the Greek word Charis.
Strong’s Concordance describes grace.
1) grace
  • that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: grace of speech

2) good will, loving-kindness, favor

  • of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues.

3) what is due to grace

  • the spiritual condition of one governed by the power of divine grace
  • the token or proof of grace, benefit

4) thanks, (benefits, services, favors), recompense, reward

God’s grace pours out to us to empower, reward, bless, and overcome!
It is His way!
Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and mercy. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly
